Have you forgotten the fact that FC's have pop-up lights? You will only be able see those silly "halo" lights when the headlights are also on, so you'll barely see them at all.

yes i know they are pop up lights. and i do ride them flipped up during the day. and plus the lights look sweeter than the stock during the day also. all i am asking is for instructions on installing them.

sooooo they're sealed beam style but they have a "halo" (a square halo?) around them?

They're more than likely a direct bolt n if thats the case.....you'll just need to clip the wires and wires the high/lowbeam in as well as wire the halo to the parking/running lights.

If they are round halo's......you're going to need alot more sweat, swear words, money, bracketry, shrouds and time to install them....

well, get out your test light and/or a multi meter.....hook it to ground and then one pin on the headlight, turn on the lights (without highbeam) and see which pin has power. Then repeat with the highbeams on.

For your running light power use the front marker/signal light + power source. This will be hooked up to the wire for the halo.

for the high/low beam on the new light itself (if it doesn't say which is which in a manual/paperwork tht came with them) you'll need to hook power up to the light and see which pin has the brighter/wider beam when powered.

Thats all.....its pretty simple.

Be sure to solder and shirnk wrap the connections, you don't want a solderless connector creating problems down the road - especially during a night run far from civilization - hehehe

They should install exactly as per the stock sealed beams, and the electrical connection for the headlights (not the halo lights) should be a direct swap too. The large 3-pin connector should just plug straight in. If it doesn't/can't you got the wrong lights and should send them back. Preferably for a refund...

Have you forgotten the fact that there's a switch in FC's to pop the headlights up without turning them on?

Right above the switch for the lights, there is another switch that has a little "double arrow" indicator... That's to pop the lights up without actually turning them on... What purpose it was actually intended to serve is beyond me, but nonetheless it's there...

So what? The point is why the hell would you want to drive around with the headlights up during the day unless it was necessary?

What purpose it was actually intended to serve is beyond me...
Cleaning and replacing the bulbs, and preventing the lights from freezing closed in very low temps. Pretty much all cars with pop-up headlights have a manual switch.

Its called the "cleaner switch"....I've driven around my g/f's at the lake and had my lights actually get dimmer from extreme coatings of bugs/mosquitos etc.

The switch allows you to flip them up for cleaning......or "winking" at passing buddies -hehehe

As well as what NZ mentioned about freezing.....in the winter months (yes I use my N/A as a DD year round) I flip them up at night in case we get a dumpig of snow so they won't be a problem to flip up later on.

Just a little FYI... The Chevy S10 uses the exact same lights as an FC, so I'm sure they didn't design those with the FC in mind...

No matter how hard you try your car will never be a bmw. My halo's look killer on my 7 series but would look like complete *** on my RX7.
