FD pump moves more fuel, which allows more performance but dosn't give any.

Edit: I'm fairly sure a search will reveal a tonne(thats right, a metric ton) of info on the subject.

As far as my understanding, he's got it right. The pump will allow for more future performance gains. As is the S4/5 N/A fuel pump only supports about 200hp. The FD pump will support around 300hp I believe. However, if you're going to spend the money, just get a Walbro.

I don't know most n/a guys don't need to up their fuel pump unless they are doing nitrous. seeing that it handles up to 200hp it would take alot of engine work to get it that far. IIRC the most hp made by a n/a 7 on here is 180 something to the wheels so you should be fine just getting the oem one for your car. If you do get a walbro be prepaired to run rich 100% of the time unless you have an safc to tune it down.

I think it's Mazdamark ithat's marking 220 at the wheels.

yeah but still a walpro on a na thats putting down about 220 is still over kill.. a fd or t2 fuel pump should be fine.. im not sure what madzamark is running . but i think a walpro would be over kill unless tuned by a safc or a aem computer or some kind of engine management

Actually, most people find that they have to lean out their air/fuel with a fuel controller like an SAFC because the N/As run pig rich stock, which kills power. Ultimately, a bigger fuel pump is probably unnecessary unless you have crazy porting or nitrous/supercharger/etc.
