FC Engine in an FD?

Just wanted opinions on this. First, is it easily done? Second, would it be expensive to pay for switching it over? Third, would it be cheesy to have an FC motor in an FD until I got enough money for the real thing? I just love the look of the FD, and the interior and everything is so much more to date. This wouldn't happen anytime soon, but once I get this job started I just thought I could build my way up to owning an FD slowly since I already have the TII. Let me know what you guys thinkg about this.

haven't you heard all the problems with fabricating stuff to mount a FD engine into and FC? It would be a huge waste of time, and a larger waste of money. Plus it would cheesier than hell.
Buying an FD is hella expensive, even one with a blown motor, just stick with the TII untill you can afford the entire FD.

I think buying a blown FD and using your TII motor would end up being more expensive than buying a good FD. Just save up, sell the FC and get the FD. If you took the engine out of the FC you couldn't sell it, thus costing more in the long run.

Meh, I guess I had better start saving then. What would a cheap way to go about getting an FD? Once I start college, the co-op program they have gets an average of $15k per 5 month co-op period, so if I save enough of that over 2 years I should be able to get it, along with selling my FC. Would it be wise to just get a straight up working FD, or get one with something messed up and pay for fixing it?

i would imagine it would be just as difficult as putting a 13B-REW in an FC. not worth it.

I was just thinking that if it was relatively easy that I could sort of buy the fd in pieces and eventually have something as i got more and more money, lol
