I think I would personally locate it on the driver's side with your setup though. Keep it away from that radiator hose, clean up the engine compartment a bit, and the air would have a much more direct route. That's just my 2 cents though.

Intake pipe has been wrapped with heat wrap as I said in my first post. And like I said, if I left the FD elbow stock (uncut) the bend would be EXTREMELY more significant and harsh than it is now, and be much less a direct route. You'd have to see it in person to realize this, I think. I'll get the greddy elbwo eventually.

I have my reasons to not try stuff like that again.

Here are some quick shots of mine. Some things have changed, upgraded plug leads, new radiator panel, new e-fan, new FD alternator w/ a Higgi pulley, first pic shows the new Koyo, second 2 are a little older.

I've seen no dyno proof of any of these, personally. I chose this setup based on the fact that someone with a similar intent and port design to me used this setup with good success, and being that it was a cheap setup to start with I figured I'd give it a shot. If it works well, cool, if it doesn't I'll be going ahead and building a completely custom setup.
