GSL-SE oil coolers are some of the best! I would try that as a cheaper alternative--if you can find one. If not, I would not waste my money on anything besides a dry sump system.

[QUOTE=Evil Aviator;9611816]Most of the serious racers have the MFR dry sump system which uses its own front cover and pump. http://www.who-sells-it.com/cy/mazda...6/page-29.html

MFR stands for Mazda Factory Race... which means you can get it from Mazda or from Mazda resellers. Keep in mind that that this is NOT a simple bolt-on system, and a professional needs to install it because there are some installation tricks that would not be apparent to a novice. It is also not a street item. Mazdatrix sells the cheaper version of the MFR dry sump kit and plate here:

yeah i see what your saying Rob i totally understand im making sure my kits are 100% bolt ons no crazy modifications in order to install otherwise no one will ever buy it lol. As for the OMP system i would have it working with the throttle just like the factory but instead of picking up oil from the oil pan i will create a reservoir with two cycle in it. Works like stock even the E-OMP just uses two cycle. Hey, do you have the link to that Simpson system?

That picture above is my car the way it usually tastes the street (on a trailer). However, what would be wrong with using a dry-sump on the street? The new Z06 runs it.

I have a OMP system that works off 2 stroke and throttle, most people dont want to be bothered and will just premix.

here is that australian company that sells the electronic OMP controller, works off TPS and you can fully adjust it, I may end up going with this system if it can bolt to my adaptor I have now so I can still run 2 stroke.

here is my hybrid system, I work off throttle using a S5 throttle body and its linkage

I meant to type S4 throttle body, NOT S5.

What exactly is the reason this linkage cant be adapted to the S5 TB?

i think if you went to the trouble of taking them both apart and using the linkage from the s4 in the s5, otherwise there is noplace on the s5 to really attach the linkage.

there is no benefit of a s5 over a s4 as far as performance goes.

But say you had a S5 car, but wanted to use the mechanical OMP. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't this mean you'd have to change the TB, front cover, and ECU for a S4?

These cars have been out for almost 20 years. Why has no one made some sort of connecting rod that connects to the throttle linkage and hooks on the S4 OMP rod?

I have a motor that is part S4/S5, FC, FD, and 2 rotor Cosmo, it is controlled by a Wolf V500, so I cant really advise others who want to stay in series or take their motors apart and use thier original ECUs. I will agree that you do need to change the front cover if you wanted to run the s4 OMP on your S5.

I cant answer why no one has made a rod, probably because no one makes a OMP adapter that is a bolt on. I have the RA adapter, but it required a small piece to be custom made for it to work.

The other reason is that no one wants to be bothered, most of us are cheap and would rather have a funnel and some 2 stroke then go through all the hassle of making a system work.
