Fastest Speed in Your FC?
#103
Previous owner went 131 clocked by radar at a race track. That was with about 200k on the motor, though, so its pretty impressive. After I got it rebuilt, I got it to about 145 on the speedo, which I figure is 130-135. It was rock solid and didn't really feel that fast, other than the scenery going by. All you people that are scared at 110 need new tires, suspention, or both.
For the record, the fastest I have ever been in a car was over 180 in a Ferrari 360 Challange (not stradale) at Texas Motor Speedway. It was pretty crazy. I'd like to see my uncle's 935 hp Testarossa on a flat road, though.

135 (fuel cut) in the wrx vs some crappy acura legend; he was a couple buses back there. That was on I-10 in San Antonio- very straight, and very empty at night.
Maybe once the 7 is LS1'd, i'll take a special trip down to texas and get some top speed readings along I-25.

hit about 135 in my NA at very close to 8000 rpm in 4th calculating gear ratios and tire size thats about right, going to 5th i couldnt accelerate at all.
then in my turbo II, when spedo was broken we estimated speed to be about 140 were in 5th for a bit..... at pretty high rpm.
then when spedo was functioning, were going 130 in 5th when the radiator xploded!! boy that was fun.... shut the car off right when it happend coasted over a mile to the exit! suprizingly didnt damage the motor!

Wow there are some really high speeds here. Along with some extremely high BS. Like I know the usual people I can belive. But like yeah I pulled like 180 on the interstate, in my NA. OK WTH. you musta used the sawzall theory of light wieght. Or something.
Just gonna say I went 55 in my NA gtu and thats about all the faster I need to go. except for the interstate. Then its a blazing fast 75mpg. Yeah you heard me 75 in my 88 GTU stock windows down sunroof open, and two friends sitting in the passenger seat, man I scared the living hell outta them. I we were going so fast this geo passed us and I was like thta thing gotta hemi in it. And my friend looked over and said no it that tackumi fugiwaras American 40yr old long lost brother. OMG look at him drive its so AWSOME

I took fourth to about 7200 RPM's, shifted to fifth and floored it for a little bit. I looked down and realized I was still accelerating. That was really all I wanted to find out because I've never owned a car that would still actually pull in fifth over 125. Speedo said a bit over 140 before I shut it down. It was an 88 TII.
After that, I slowed to what I figured the limit was which at that time of night is about 80 and started going home. I must have went a mile or two before I looked down and realized I was still traveling at a nice even 100. After 140, 100 just feels damn slow. I laughed and drove safely all the way home.
I'll probably never do that again.
