need help with this one. i have a 86 n/a turbo. i bought a 89 n/a turbo rebuilt engine from canada with a turbo middle housing. i was putting it together when i noticed that the old intake does'nt cover all the holes in the need engine. it has some extra holes. since this is a turbo middle housing, should i use a turbo intake? my friend was telling me to put some epoxy to cover the hole. what should i do?

ok, I'm really confused here? Whats an 86 n/a turbo? Is it a turbo, or normally aspirated car? Same with the 89 n/a turbo engine...is it turbo or NA? Turbo engines are 4 port engines, NA engines are 6-ports. You should be able to count the ports on the engine block.

Its an N/A block..the builder basically used a TII MID HOUSING so he can have the bigger middle intake ports. NOw, when he installed the NA lower intake the rectangular hole below the 2 lower intake ports does not cover it. I think NA has a round one but factory blocked off (i might be wrong)..Can's he just block off the rectangular hole with a high temp epoxy???..

The TII middle housing has larger ports (as mentioned), so it is sometimes used in NA rebuilds to get a little more flow...
Just plug the hole with some high-temp epoxy.
