Exhaust system

Hi,

I got my first RX-7 today as a project for the summer.

The only thing is I have never seen an exhaust quite like the one on this car.
It has the normal regular pipes you would expect to find from front to back,
The bit I dont understand is the 2 other pipes which are part of the exhaust system
One of them seems to be ok and is connected at both ends the other is only conneceted at the engine end and seems to run along down the car and exits near the nsr wheel and makes loads of noise im sure this should connect back to the main exhaust somewhere but where???

does anyone have a diagram they could send me or explain it to me PLEASE

PLEASE PLEASE help

Stu

I assume it's a turbo based on your location. does it by any chance make a whoooosh sound every so often?

I wanna say it's a divorced Downpipe with the wastegate vented to the atmosphere. Pictures, drawings and any more details would yield more accurate answers/guesses.

my second guess is that it's the Split air pipe ( I know the NA's have them but I can't recall if my Turbo had it also, it's been years since I've had stock exhaust)

hmmmmmmm. ok.

one small pipe from the engine to the cat? Split air pipe.

I need more details about the other pipe/hose.

seriously: take pictures. It's the only way to figure out what they are.

One of the pipes is the "split air pipe." This connects from the cat to the intake manifold and on s4's has another tube that that splits off and feeds the aux port activators.
On the other one, I have no idea. Where on the engine does it connect to?
Again, pics would really help if possible.
