Exhaust removal

Well I`ve searched but not found anything specific that will help me. I`m removing the stock exhaust on my S4 TII completely so I can install my new Racing Beat exhaust. My problem is I am unable to reach all but one of the bolts on the shield over the turbo exhaust outlet. The rest of the exhaust is off thanks to some elbow grease, penetrating spray and last but not least... my cutting torch. Does anyone have a suggestion on getting the shield off so I can get the nuts off the three studs on the back of the turbo. I can`t reach anything from the top due to the ABS pump.
Any recommendations are appreciated. The car can`t sit on jack stands for more than a couple of days as I`ll end up with a ticket.

my suggestion is remove all the things that is around it such as the twin scroll (only applies for S4) and some of the vac lines and just play with it and move it around till you can get it out.

or if you wanna be ghetto you can cut the shield off. i've only taken on off of an engine that was already pulled, and it was still a pain in the *** to get it off. i wish you good luck.

Dude, don't be a wuss. Take off the ABS pump to get to it!

There are 3 hardlines connected to the ABS pump, and like 4 bolts holding it in. Seriously.

Yep thats gonna be the only way. After checking the FSM I guess the ABS pump is easier to remove than it looks like. I `ve never touched an ABS pump before but there is a first time for everything.

Well I`m done. My God does this exhaust sound freekin nice. When I ordered the thing I was silently kicking myself for spending so much on just the exhaust.
Now that its in I`m glad I got it. Lots of guys here said it was nice sounding and boy are they right.

Sure the sound is nice, but what about power gains? Do you notice them?

I`ve only driven it for a short distance but there is without a doubt a huge improvement over the stock exhaust. I still have to do a couple more mods to be safe
with hard driving. I have only replaced the exhaust and added the fuel cut defender so far. I also removed the Sub-Zero start fluid container while I had the ABS pump loose. I plan on upgrading the fuel pump and the intake ASAP, probably will put in larger secondary injectors and have the primaries cleaned as well.
