Exhaust questions.

I drive a NA 88 Rx7 and i was wondering if i got a dual apex n1 exhaust would be good or bad. I thaught about going single apex n1 but i dont know what kind of effect that would have on the rotary engine.

So, will dual drop or raise my horse power? or will single be better?

That is a Cat-back and will likely not change MUCH power wise. Some people say you pay for 80% sound and looks and 20% for power when you buy a cat-back only.

If you have to pass emmissions get an RB header to a bonez highflow cat(will not just bolt up) to the racing beat cat-back. BLING!

If you don't have to pass emmissions the I would suggest one of two systems depending on what kind of money you want to spend.

First would be the poor mans ultimate solution: RB full setup from the Header-presilencer-Ypipe-mufflers.
Last the ULTIMATE The Mazdatrix uncollected(True duals) exhaust with which ever mufflers you want either the HKS or the RB but the RB I hear sound better.

If you want to listen to the true duals look for my recent thread on pic and vids in this section. There are three vids that have my car in it.

Santiago

PS- I also run a NEW company that is selling Cold Air Intakes(not just a heat shield ) Check it out by clicking on the picture in my signiature below.

Get an aftermarket header if anything. That is the biggest restriction for NAs

I would vote the vatalitic converter as the main restriction in the stock exhaust. The header is what gives you the most HP.
