Exhaust Question

I want a Diagram of what a S4 N/A Rx7 Exhaust system look like and what all the components are. Everything from the header to the muffler. Because I heard there are 2 kinds of cats. and other stuff. So its kinda confusing. Thanks

Pictures would be nice to.

That helps a lot but what are the names for those. I know the header, Y-Pipe, and the mufflers but not the others.

No header there.

Exhaust manifold > #1 Pre-cat, #2 Pre-cat, Main cat (which has a fitting for the air tube)> Y-pipe > Mufflers.

If you're asking because of emissions tests and such, the pre-cats are mainly for warm-up, the Main cat is the one which really makes a difference.

Since you're in Cali, I won't add more info, because I'm not sure.

You can pass the sniffer portion of a CA smog test w/out precats, but they could technically fail you on the visual test if they're missing. I've never had an issue with it though. Of course, the smog guy I use is pretty laid-back.
