If you mean replacing your catalytic convertors with the race pipe and keeping the stock y-pipe and mufflers, then no. The resonator in the Bonez race-pipe really helps to take the "edge" off the rotary noise, and the stock mufflers will sound fine. You may still find it pretty quiet, but the tone, sound, and total volume of the car shouldn't be that much more different than stock.

The reason I ask this is because the ricers with no cat sound terrible. I know the rotary is a different beat than the 4-bangers in the Hondas but wasn't sure about the catless sound. Would there be any noticble power difference running the race pipe with the stock y-pipe and mufflers?

Replacing the stock y-pipe and mufflers with an aftermarket cat-back will not see a significant power increase on an N/A.
