Exhaust housing diffuser

Has anyone cut out the diffuser in the exhaust port of a N/A rotor housing and grinded away any of that hard *** metal to port the exhaust? If so, what did you use?

I remeber a post saying a cold chisel works really well. I, myself, just bought TII Exhaust ports.

Use a die grinder to thin out the metal, then hit it with a cold chisel, Shouldn't take more than an hour.

I didn't search at first cause I didn't think anyone would go this route. I found more threads than I thought I would. $400+ is too much to pay for rotor housings. That is probably why mazdatrix doesn't want us messing with the diffuser, so they can make $800+ per pair of housings.
