Exhaust Gaskets

Hey all,
I did a search for this but came out empty.

Basically on my stock exhaust someone must have taken the thing apart from the 1st cat back.
They did not install any type of gaskets where the cats all meet. Making a nasty leak. Also sounds like ***.

Anyways I looked at advanced. They list like 4-5 different gaskets, yet none list what location they go to and the guy at counter was no help either..

Does anyone know what gaskets I need for the 1st cat, 2nd, and 3rd? All of them, like 6 of them I believe, correct?
From there back is all welded so nothing back there..

Or does anyone know the part numbers or a better place to get them at?
Or can I use some sort of gasket maker and make that work fine.

I have used exhaust gasket maker and it has worked fin so far. Only been running with it for 2 months though so I can not attest to how long it lasts.

I wouldn't use gasket maker as the exhaust gas temps are extremely hot. RTV, typically sold as gasket maker will burn away at that temperature.

I believe the stock exhaust uses 2" 2 hole flanges.

For stock exhaust diagrams and part numbers, I typically go to this for reference:
https://www.qcsonline.net/bosalb2b/products/

I also use the catalog at http://www.rockauto.com as they usually have pics and diagrams available.

According to these, you have gaskets at the catalytic converters. They're all the same:
Bosal P/N: 256-535
Walker P/N: 31311

You can see if your local parts store stocks Bosal or Walker brand parts or has a cross reference to their supplier's part numbers.

Also, according to the pics, after the Y-pipe, there should be a flange where you can separate the mufflers. Double check for those gaskets.

They are:
Bosal P/N: 256-272
Walker P/N: 31313

I'd get OEM gaskets but in the meantimes auto parts store gaskets are so cheap that I've bought multiple sizes with plans to return whatever I didn't need. The pipes are around 2-2.5". In the end I got OEM and returned everything though.

I used some orange permatex stuff and its still holding fine. Granted, I'll give you that it wont last long term but a cat is going back on in a year for inspection. That's why I didnt buy gaskets.
