Exhaust Gas Temperature of TII
What's the normal operating EGT of a 1988 TII slightly modified (FMIC, Garret T04, 10 to 12 psi of boost, not ported). I just installed my EGT gauge and it reads 600 to 700 degrees (Farenheit) at idle and around 1,000 to 1,200 degrees with throttle open. Is this the normal range?
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. Only fuel mod I have is an aftermarket upgraded fuel pump (from RX7.com) and 720 cc secondary injectors. I do happen to be running a bit rich, wanted to be on the sure side now that I just put the bigger turbo. Thanks for the info, will make it a bit leaner.

It is going to be hard to get numbers from others and compare. It all depends on where your probe is located. Airflow around the pipes. Ambient temp.
A wideband air fuel gauge would do better most likely. That would be the best way to determine your rich/lean conditions.
