I have the RB exhaust and it sounds great. I think you should consider it, it gives a different tone than most aftermarket exhaust. Plus the dual setup looks really cool too!

What about passing emissions? I guess I could just fit a high flow cat in there somewhere.

speed_monkey,

Bottom line Quality for your dollar Racing Beat or Borla(close second in my list) will outperform Corksport and Apex'I any day or night. Unless you like your car vibrating from exhaust pulses at idle and a rather loud resonance at speed do not go with anything from Apex'I or Corksport. Most of their products are targeted to the more "hey look at me I want to blow my ear drums in sight of a year with my exhaust note" oriented market. If you want Great quality and durability from your exhaust along with a beautifull exhaust note(specially the turbo model) go with Racing Beat systems.

I say screw emissions. If you look hard enough you can get it to pass somewhere. It ran me $175 to get mine to pass, but well worth it.

DIY its not really all that hard to do. I'm no mechanic and it took me a few hours to put in the exhaust along with the downpipe and presilencer.

Stupid homeowners association doesn't allow working on cars in the driveway... Oh well, screw them. lol

Ok, for the RB full setup it is $860 shipped to my door.

Do I need a fuel cut controller?

For the exhaust, pod, greddy boost gauge, greddy temp gauge and fuel cut defensor it is $1300 shipped. lol

1987RX7guy - just cause the apexi and corksport systems have bigger tips the RB or borla, why does that make it rice? i remember when the definition of rice use to buyin something or installing something on your car that had little to no change on preformance ... are you telling me that a titanium exhaust that weighs around 40 pounds less and out flows the stock system is rice just cause of its design and sound??? u remind me of the guy i bought my mustang from a couple years ago

Vacuum line upgrade $98
Fluidyne radiator $480

are you going for looks or performance. I have the Racing Beat full Turbo setup and it is awsome. if you care about performance, respectful looks and sound get the RB. If you just want a cat back for looks get something cheap.

I'm making my own exhaust using mostly RB stuff, but I don't think the mufflers fill the bumper enough so I'm going for GReddy SP2 knockoffs and they look awesome on teh back of an RX7 - especially my black one

BTW - I hate single exhaust look on cars that are set up for duals because it looks like something is missing

First of all they aren't rice because they don't have a respectable tip size. They are rice because they are made for a specific purpose, to be loud and obnoxious(sp?).

The single appx....40lb drop in weight from stock
It is light because it iis a single exit system. Not because it is a "titanium" exhaust.

This system's flange tapers down to 2.5" to bolt to the stock cat. converter.
The reason I so dislike and call rice on these two is because their piping is 2.5" and the damn tip is 2 inches bigger. False advertising=rice baby!

Features a titanium muffler
And only the muffler is titanium. That imo is like having gold(plated) teeth.

Sound alone comming from these two systems qualifies them for the Ricer of the year award.
