Exhaust??? =)
Well, if the 7 I just bought is actually running good after I tweak on it a little, I am planning on getting a good exhaust system put on it. Any suggestions that will get me the best bang for my buck?

Rip out the cats and put in a 2.5" downpipe and midpipe then go with a real nice system from there back try the www.rx7store.com for a good price. You could go with 3" downpipe and midpipe but unless you plan on really going all out on the car 2.5" is just fine. You will notice a pretty good hp increase from this.

If you have an N/A, how 'bout my setup that I think is damned wicked:
-Racing Beat race headers
-2.5" aluminized steel pipes
-2X Brullen straight-through mufflers
-any tips you want.
That will give you the MAXIMUM HP out of an exhaust for N/A. And it sounds awesome. Damned loud though, you might want a pre-silencer.

rx7style has the same setup I have except with different exhaust. He's also right about the car being damned loud. If you don't want to spend the $200 on the RB silencer then you can go with a $30 glasspack which will resonate the sound about 15%. I made a mistake taking mine out of the GXL - it's way louder now.
Anyway, this setup made a huge difference compared to stock.

Right on man -- yeah, it's really damned loud [unbeleiveable when I first heard it, sounds so good!], but those mufflers made the difference. I had an HKS Hiper system, and I could feel the power increase using straight piping and the Brullen cans. I hope your mufflers do as well for 'ya!
