Exaust question

ok im doing a turbo ll swap and i got a custom 3" downpipe... would it bolt up to my na exaust? can i use my na exaust? its tempary... tell me what you guys think

If the flanges are the same.. Bolt it up. Aint nobody gonna stop ya!

They are not interchangable actually. The flange for the NA has two bolts, and the turbo has three. Not only that, but the NA downpipe flange is like 40 degrees difference in the angle to wich the flange matches up at the manifold.

I mated a turbo DP to an NA exhaust. It can be done. You'll have to cut about a foot off of the exhaust pipe before the cat and weld on a new flange. Now the flange is probably NOT going to be the same size as the DP flange so you will need to get a thick gasket in order to seal it properly. I used a regular gasket for a while and I had a nasty exhaust leak because the gasket was too small....
