UM... sorry to break it to you, but sunshine doesn't make this world go round. Trust me, I've been there, back in the transition from 17 to 18 years old I was all "all the ******** are stupid and if people were nicer things would be better etc.." But then i realized that doesn't work. There NEEDS to be a ying to every yang, An SUV driver for every Sports car Driver, An ******* to every peace keeper (no insult intended).

Yeah, jus like the 10 foot pulley thing, that NEEDS to be bashed. You can't call him right or shoot sunshin up his ***. sheesh.

Oh, and I DO answer lots of the 'n00b' questions on here. I usually average like a 1/2-1 page per on those. I answer peoples QUESTIONS, and shoot down their stupidity. Have a nice day

We've already explained it to him.

It's up to him to go and test it out

See, the problem here is that you HAVE been given enough logical reasons as to why this won't work. Yet you insist on proving us wrong.

Go ahead, have a blast. Just don't post messages with subjects like "Everyone, here's a way to get boost" when you 1. haven't done it, and 2. won't listen to people when they tell you it won't.

There are areas where I'll test the waters, but I'm not going to waste time trying things that logically won't work.

But hey, if it blows your skirt, go for it.

Thanks pearlwing,
I said I didn't know if this would work or not but it appears to work on this guys car that I know and I was going to see if it works on the RX-7. I didn't come here to be bashed or insulted by people who don't think it will work. I am going to see if this will work because I'm curious and want to know first hand. And I'll be damned if someone is going to insult the inteligence of me. Act like a freshman? Yeah I bet you didn't get picked on in school. Lets quit this pissing contest because I'm going to do this even if some bastard thinks I'm stupid, or ignorant. I want to know, I don't want an ******** telling me I can't do it because its imposible do to engineering. Well guess ******* what. Flying an airplane used to be imposible. So did the gas engine, heart surgery, implants, curse for desease, And just about every other damn thing that we use in our every day lives. Did I blow up because my inteligence was insulted? Yes. I apologize. Everyone thinks I'm stupid but I'm not. I just want to see first hand if it works. Have I been An *** to some people on this thread? Yes. Again I apologize. But let me do this and if it works then frigging great. If not oh well. I didn't want to start any wars here but things just got blown out of proportion. I'll Get back to you guys on the specs of what he did and how he did it, Try it and see if it works. O.K.?
peace,
Charles

i'll tell you

SUV's are bad for the following reasons:

#1 I see to many people that can't drive big vehicles crunching into cars and giving me door dings because they don't know how to park a large vehicle.

#2 It is a sad sad day when people like Porsche make an SUV that can out-perform thier top of the line sports car (Thats right, they have a twin turbo SUV with over 750 HP that out performs thier top sports car on the race track.) And only for a mere $160,000 US

#3 (I am not against GOOD women drivers) there are to many BAD women drivers who drive SUV's and drive so awful that the inventor of the wheel is kicking himself.

However,

SUV'a are good for the following reason:

#1 Comfortable long trips, with lots of space to pack things into

#2 Great for out-back trips

#3 A wonderful family vehicle for those with 2+ children.

However, there are WAY TO MANY PEOPLE who buy SUV's and are the ONLY PERSON IN THE VEHICLE 90% of the time...talk about a waste of time, money, and gasoline.

SUV's are NOT and should NOT be used as a daily driver.

Just my 2 cents

and to top it off

and to top it all off, THEY follow to close.

My car can stop on a dime, thier SUV's cannot...yet they stay on my *** at all times.

Also some stupid moron in an SUV was to busy checking out a blonde with some hooters then to notice that all the cars in front of him were stopped and then SMASHING into my father causing him severe injury. (Happened long time ago, but still..)

I wouldn't mind SUV's if they would respect the road and the other people on it. But barely anyone driving an SUV does.

many have the mindset that they are big vehicles and are safe, so they can drive like asses without hurting themselves. (Semi drivers and trucks included in this one)

OK. I'm going to make this very clear. It won't work. The ONLY reason the Mustang guy is seeing boost with this setup is because the boost guage was connected directly into the airstream of the pump. Or he only saw boost when his throttle blades were closed and the pump was pressurizing the area between itself and the closed throttle (in either case, the boost guage was connected wrong).

Logical explanation: the airpump CANNOT flow air at even the same rate as the ENGINE, let alone a HIGHER rate to generate boost.

Now can we all just throw this thread away?

lol

Mustang drivers crack me up, they always say things that don't make any sense.

I was once told by a mustang driver that on a completely STOCK 2002 Mustang GT, you could put in this "racing chip" that added 250 HP. Now the funniest thing was that this guy worked at a Ford dealership and was telling this to everyone he was selling mustangs to.

And yes I mentioned that maybe he meant it went up to 250 HP or something and he said "nope, actually adds 250 HP making over 400 HP stock with a chip"

made me laugh

I only personally know one serious mustang driver, and he BUILT FROM SCRATCH both his Cobra's.

I read that a Mustang 5.0L can get over 100% VE. I wonder if that is where he's getting the 3 psi from...

No, those things were never impossible; we just didn’t know how to do them. However we all know this won’t work. Don’t waste your time. Instead of all the swearing and name calling, how about taking the advice of some people who know more than you, and accept this is not going to work.

It sounds like it will work great, especially on the recommendation of a high school Mustang driver. I was thinking of doing something similar, but with the windshield washer motor. I'm going to put a K&N filter in place of the washer fluid filler cap, drain the fluid of course, and then run the output lines into my intake manifold. When I turn the switch to operate my windshield washer, the motor will inject air into the system creating instant boost! I figure that with a 10' pulley attached to the washer motor, I can get an extra 5 psi of boost.

hey, i guess im a retard too. but to me, the physics of it show that air from the pump could be re-routed into the intake. don't go tearing me a new ******* for that one either.

I don't doubt anyone's knowledge on this board, i know you are all smart guys. I just think that the kid had an idea he wanted to try out, and he wanted to to share it. it doesnt seem se retarded to me that i would rip his face off. just give him a break, let him know why it wouldnt work and that is that.

remember, he's just like all you were, im pretty sure that all of you guys weren't born with a brain full of mechanical knowledge, you were kids too that loved cars and wanted to do **** to them so they were faster. and that is all he is doing too, and in my mind it seems to make some sense. i cant imagine getting any sort of boost from it or anything, but whatever, who gives a **** let him try it out.

It already IS re-routed to the intake sometimes. when it's not injected to port air or to the split air pipe... where does it go?

correct me if i am wrong but how r the 5th and 6th ports gonna work if you reroute the airpump to the intake? isn't the air pump what the 5th and 6th ports use to open??
