They don't make "Euro" / "Altezza" tail lamps for the FC. Nicest looking lamps are S5 (89-91) anyway. You can get a set on ebay for around 100 bucks.

How come I always miss those deals? I usually see them for $200+, and half the time they're shipping from someone supposedly in Japan, so the shipping is like another $80+ or so.

Well they say Euro lights as a marketing ploy. "Euro" brings to mind BMW, Mercedes. Ferarri, Jaguar ect.. in other words it's supposed to be desirable to have a "Euro" part.. Bahhh it's all B.S. anyway and Yes the American Altezza is a Lexus IS300, they are called Toyota Altezza in Japan.

isn't the altezza another name for the Lexus IS300? well in japan anyways....IS300 i think is the american name for it...well so i thought...correct me if i'm wrong
You're right. As far as the term altezza for clear tail lights goes...it started with manufacturers advertising clear tails as "Altezza Style" tail lights. People eventualy just dropped the "Style" part.

Where do you think the term "Altezza" came from? From the Japanese-market name for what in other markets (inluding here) is called the IS300. So again I ask, why refer to these as "Euro" lights, when there's nothing European about them? It's for the same reason they slap "JDM" onto just about everything. It's so dodgy sellers selling dodgy products can suck in stupid buyers.

The "Euro Lights" tend to be clear side markers - like on the fenders of BMW's and VW's. They are prominent on European cars.

Because of that, people tend to refer to everything that has a clear lense to be "Euro Lights". But as was stated before, clear tail lights are Japanese. Only the small clear marker lights can be considered Euro.

Like the ones on the fender of an M5:

those lights are ugly, but i want to see them, if they are cheap, they can be painted with red transparent paint and will look like the circle s5 lights for half the price and in NEW coniditon.

ok, the picuture i attached is the only example i could find within 5 minutes on the net. the car itself (riced out integra) is ugly. the tails on it are Euros painted with red transparent. if u've ever seen/will see one in person, they look great.

****, i just payed 238 plus 30 shipping for some JDM s5 tails, driver side is cracked, 1 1/2 long crack by reverse light and the passenger side is terribly scuffed. got them off ebay. just received them today. called they guy about it and he said they were fine when he packed them. omfg please. crack looks old, and scuff looks new, looks like it just happened right before he packed it. he wants me to take pictures of it and call him back tomorrow but ****, i no he aint gonna refund or credit me. im pissed. so u all know, the company is Jarco Inc. anyone ever had problems with them before? they are a major jdm parts place. damn im pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Several people have already mentioned the factors in the "Euro light" phrase. Its a marketing term to get people to want to buy clear lights because clear lights can be found on nice European cars like VW, BMW, etc... Even though they may not have clear tail lights on euro cars, the people selling the stuff have a demand for them, and anyone who knows anything economics knows that supply vs. demand = profit. All personal preferences aside, if I was going to start an auto parts store, I would sell them because I know the Honda boys would buy them.

I like how they took the time to spray paint that rear bumper black so you can't see it through that chicken wire
