Engine won't start.

I have a 88 rx7 and it ran out of gas on me so i put some in her. When i try starting her up all i get is a crank and that's it. As a matter of fact i don't even smell gas after starting her up for a coupl of min. Any one out there have any idea what's going on with her?

Your fuel pump may have been damaged by having been run dry.Pretty much what christianRX7 said.

My first, out of 14, Mitsubishi Starion's burned a primary injector from running out of gas. Put 12v to the injector and no click or anything. I doubt the chances of burning the 2 primary injectors on an RX7 are that high but a possibility. Like the others have said, though, the fuel pump is more than likely the problem.

Try taking out your fuel pump and cleaning the little filter on the end of that, if there was gunk on the bottom of your tank, when u ran outta gas, it definitely got sucked up in there. Same thing happened to me and my tank was NASTY, just gross, previous owner took horrible care of it. Test the pump with a meter first.
