Engine/trans mounts, stock vs. comp

Engine and trans mounts probably need replacing, have a couple of questions.

-Racing Beat has the high-durometer Mazda Competition mounts for a little less than Mazdatrix's price on stock-stiffness replacements. How much harsher will the cabin vibrations be with the competition mounts?

-If I only replace the trans Y-blocks and not the crossmember/bushing, how negative an impact will that have?

I put mazdatrix y-comp mounts on and I didnt really notice much beside less pull on the shifter when holding it tight. I then replaced ALL my mounts with the mazdatrix comp mounts and I noticed a much more solid drive line. I daily drive it also with a no spring 6 puck clutch and its nice and easy to drive.

And for cabin vibrations nothing really unless you have a bad idle then you can kinda feel it shaking.

i can't even tell the difference in more vibrations from the stock motor mounts versus the comp hardened mounts as an example.

I like my comp mounts, the whole drive train is solid and doesn't twist, and I have no noticeable vibration over stock.

The vibration isn't a big deal. The biggest thing you may notice is increased interior rattles. It does depend though, because there are a lot of harmonics and other things related to the exhaust, suspension, etc that can affect this.

I am running NA, and the mazda comp mounts are fine. I actually recommend spending the slightly extra money for them. They are 20% stiffer and do not add vibration.

I do agree with staying the hell away from solid mounts though.

one thing I miss about my car when it was stock was how enjoyable the car was, I always caution people to error on the side of stock, puck clutches, very light flywheels, torque/engine braces, solid mounts- all ruin the car in my opinion

my car runs awesome, is smooth as far as power goes, but seems like so much more is squeeking these days and annoying me
