In my dash, my water temp is still acting up.. it starts at the top and as my engine warmed up, it did seem to show a reasonable reading. is it just a coincidence that it showed somwhere in the middle or is it working properly?

also, after i had my engine running for a little bit (getting it to idle) the smoke went away from the exhaust, i felt my upper rad cap, it was warm and my engine alltogether felt warm. the thing is.. my rad was still ice cold........ do these cars have thermostats in them?

also. this is the first turbo ive owned, but from the 15 mins the car was running, my turbo seemed VERY hot. Im assuming it was the (high heat) paint that was smoking, but still, is it supposed to be this hot? i flung some water on it from my hand near the front and it just crackled from the heat. is this normal?
Hey iv got the same problem you do with my temp Gage did you ever get it figured out? mine goes up half way when I just get it started so I know it's cold also it jumps up to h when I rev it up.

My swap's almost complete, I'm just waiting on a resistor pack for my injectors and then figure out where a vacuum leak is coming from. (I also need to finish my TB mod too before can do that )
That temp gauge is still not working, I've tried a few suggestions i found online with no luck.. I'm pretty sure its a problem somewhere in the x-15 and x-16 plugs but I cant figure out exactly what. Im actually wondering now if my temp sensor isn't working?
For a fix i just put an oil temp A-pillar gauge in. If you ever get your's working please let me know what you did!

It's not your sensor mine worked befor the swap! It must be something in the wiring don't know what but I have the exact same issue. Also did you ever get your oil pressure Gage to work. I haven't and don't know why.mabe it's that red and yellow wire under the engine I can't find a mate for.

that red and yellow wire IS your oil pressure wire, it clips on to the pressure sender, located right under the oil filter, its got a little metal nub sticking out. It looks kinda like this, if this picture makes any sense :P

***ENGINE************

I forgot mine at first too :P

note. Picture defenetly did not turn out. the wire runs purpendicular to the pressure sender; parallel with the engine wall. youll figure it out. haha
