Anyways... after a bunch more cleaning/painting I've determined that spray paint gives you headaches, no matter how ventilated the area is.
Here's another money shot:

I know the paint will end up looking like crap. and the fan blades I painted because I had extra paint. Who the hell cares about the stock clutch fan anyways. hehe. I'll end up with an e-fan... which I won't paint.

I figured it was high time I updated this thread.... and while its not the engine, its the jewellery box the engine will be sitting in. Mazda PZ Black:
This isn't even related to the engine... but I did say this was a shameless thread...
I practiced painting a bit on the sunroof piece. Primer/painted in my driveway, no cover, with bugs and ****... so you can see that stuff.. other than that, it came out really nice. Pretty happy with my new HVLP gun. Still finishing my paint booth.
