Engine Harness Removal - Help

So im currently working on removing my motor...which i also need to remove the harness since its messed up.

Anyone have any pictures or references on how to remove it?

The Subzero Fluid tank is in the way of pulling the boot out of the firewall
and i cannot see where the wires connect under the dash. I can see the wires but what i mean is i do not know which ones lead to the engine harness.

Any help on removing the subzero and on reference pics for the harness?

my car is a BASE S4.

You can get rid of the subzero start system. There was a TSB on it many years ago. I assume you mean the emissions harness (which connects to the passenger side of the engine). There are 2 plugs at the ECU & one plug tucked up in front of the door. This 3rd plug connects to the front harness.

EDIT: There might be another EM to Front harness junction up there too. I can't remember offhand right now. Check the wiring diagrams, or just unplug anything you see up in that corner.

Yes, there are 5 (I forgot one). The two for the ECU (pic #2), connectors FEM01 & FEM02 (pic #3) and the ATP sensor (white plug pic #3). Unplug the 3 in your last picture, then unplug the two at the ECU. Done.

Sorry for the thread resurrection, but I have the answer on how to remove those two bastard connectors, FEM01 and FEM02. For the vertical one, put your left hand behind it and use your right index finger to push the tab inward, while pushing upward with your left hand. Mine popped right off. For the horizontal connector, remove the single 10mm nut and slide the bracket off the stud, then repeat what you did with the first connector. Pulling it off of the stud will make it MUCH easier. Also, I'd like to recommend putting the carpet back in place before doing so. It makes for a nicer spot to put your head when upside-down in the passenger seat.
