engine feels rough

my engine feels rough, if i have it in neutral and i floor it the engine moves violently. Tt shakes so much the turn signal switch also vibrates. last thing i did to the engine was change the thermostat .
BTW its an 87 N/A

can you move the engine with your hands? motor mounts could be worn out or broken

like 3 months ago i did the CRC block weld procedure for the coolant seals, could that have any thing to do with it?

i dont know man, check all the mounts on your drive train. your cooling system isnt going to make the engine shake. also make sure your drive shaft is ok, i imagine that if it was bent it would also shake the engine while vibrating the hell out of your car but if its shaking in neutral i dont know what else to check

i had a problem with the drive shaft and got it fixed like a month ago, so i know iths not the drive shaft. could it have any thing to do with the fuel system?

make sure all the tubes behind the MAF are tight if they arent it will run like **** if you want to check for vac leaks then take a can of carb cleaner and spray all the vac lines,around the MAF and TB and if the RPM's go up you have a vac leak

i would say ok since i get a chirp on second. but between 3000-5500 RPMs is when the engine goes crazy

ok ill try this tomorow, but i doubt its a vac leak
also my idle is right at 750 rpms

mine does the same thing it feels like the rotors are like out of ballance or something lol its hard to describe almost like the momentum of the rotors shakes the hell out of it

^ its not like a hesitation type thing is it, are your ground points good? i had/have somthing similar around 3800 rpms i know mine is due to grounding, and sometimes it would shudder . . so i dunno make a check list maybe? could be something you wouldn't expect . . .

Might also be one of your secondary injectors not firing causing to run one rotor at higher rpms.. driveshaft..

When was the last time you checked the timing, plugs, and wires? The problems either spark, fuel, or air!
