Engine check light = Bad AFM?
I was flogging my car in 5th last night (cold night too) when the check engine light came on. I immediatly let off and it went off. I was probably getting boost creep at the time, but I have no fcd, so it couldn't have been too much.
When I pulled the codes from ecu today, I got 8, 23, and 42 (not to mention all the others that are caused by no emissions equipment.) I couldn't find 23 or 42 on this list http://www.johnr.com/cpucodes.html but 8 is listed as a bad afm. Why would the light only come on when theres a heavy load on the engine?

As far as I am aware there is no code 23 (if some one has had this code and knows what it is please correct me). But code 42 is Duty Solenoid (boost pressure control solenoid).

I'll check again, I may've miscounted. 42 makes sense since I"ve disconected the boost pressure solenoid.
I'm fairly certain the problem I saw was from code 8 though, any thoughts on why this would happen under heavy load only?
