I don't mind being "the guy." It's happened before and it's cool. (As long as they don't call me "THAT guy". Nobody wants to be "THAT guy"...)
My clutch works great! Thanks for the help w/the hydraulics! I'm loving the wheels, too BTW. :D [/hijack]

Man, for that kinda coin I'd have been looking for some serious warranty action. If they didn't think they could get it to fit, they shoulda found a better way.
I can see how sometimes it might be nice to be able to throw money at the problem, but I wouldn't wanna do business with a shop that charges out the a$$ and won't back their work.
About the EGR pressure: I haven't heard a peep out of that plug on my motor lately and I've been driving the car like I stole it. Not sure why it would have popped out in the first place. (I KNOW Blue TII wasn't suffering from excessive backpressure...)
If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them as well.

Well, now that I've found out about KD Rotary (see earlier in this thread), I'll drive the 90 miles to see them instead of the local dealer. But, I still don't feel too bad about using them. They DID find and fix the problem, after all, and kept me apprised at every step where they were, and how deep I was financially. I was willing to spend the bucks to get it fixed, and they made it clear before they did the fix that they wouldn't warranty it.

If the wankel fairy visits me, I wouldn't have any qualms about buying a new RX-8 from them!

And, I'll echo ScrapFC - anybody know why the plugs pop in the first place???
