Emissions test blues.. :(

Alright so took my car today, to the test only station... and well it didn't to good, here are the results from todays test.

_________| %CO2 | %O2 | HC (PPM) | CO % | NO (PPM) |
Test | RPM | Meas. | Meas| MAX | AVE | Meas | MAX | Meas | Max | Ave |MEas|
15mph| 1762| 13.6 | 1.8 | 118 | 31| 153 | .75 | 0.01 | 799 | 237|851|
25mph | 2022| 14.1 | 1.3 | 93 | 20 | 92 | .63 | .05 | 738 | 119 | 688|

My HC was 35 over the limit on 15mph and only 1 under the limit at 25mph

My NO was 52 over the limit at 15mph and 50 under the limit.

Alright here is what I did today, put stock exhuast back on.. cat is not orginal... but dono when it was replaced. Brand new plugs, 1 gal of alochol in 1/4 tank. K&N air filter, in stock box.

Here is what I'm thinking of doing for next week... Add 2 gal of alcohol in 1/4 tank and connect an air hose directly to the cat.. from the look of the numbers what else could I do?

What does alcohol help lower? HC, CO, or NO?

in my experience, alchohol does not help lower NO emissions. the others, though, yes, it cut my numbers in half. the sheet should have some reccommendations as to what might be wrong. and a 1:2 ratio of alchohol to gas is pretty good.

Well went today and failed AGAIN! This time I failed both HC and NO on the 15mph and 25mph.. about 75 over the limit this time... wtf is wrong? Took it a smog and repair to get a quick quote on a new cat.. he looked at the existting cat and said it looks fairly new and chances are it won't help much.

Bought some crc Guaranteed to pass stuff and threw it in 1/2 a tank.. going to run the **** out it.. then add 2-3gal of alcohol till the car starts to run a bit rough.. dono what else I could do to pass... any ideas?

fix whatever's wrong, my car tested WELL under the legal limits without any car mods, so you have a serious problem somewhere, you need to fix your fuel map or something
