royoFC3s; As for the Fire Extinguisher, It should be abc, that way it will put out almost any fire. All thaugh most fire extiguishers are desinged for cars are abc. HALO would be the best but they don't sell them anymore as far as I understand.

So what are you going to do when a drunk driver hits you and your car lights on fire? Or when you hit some broken glass in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere and have no jack or flashlight? What about when you are stuck miles away from civilization, stranded, and alone with nothing but your car..
Like I said, I still have the tire and jack (they come with the car from the factory), and I have a little maglight. Cell phone service is just about non-existant out of town. Also in Canada we beleive that you should help your fellow man. I was broken down in another car a while back and I was there for like 3 minutes only before someone stopped and offered to help me out. My car is reliable, and it's only failed me once in more than 8 months of ownership, and since then I've done a bunch of preventative maintenance (replacing old / worn items). So just spend a little now and you'll actually be able to enjoy driving, instead of just waiting for it to break again. If the car lights on fire, a tiny little fire extinguisher probably won't be able to put it out, or do you all have large residential type ones!? If a car is struck hard enough to light it on fire (this is not a Pinto remember) it's probably a write off anyway, so why bother? Just send the bills to the drunk driver's insurance company. Also common sense would dictate that instead of driving a highly un-reliable car with lots of tools, you'd drive something that can actually deliver you to a destination every time.

well, so far with my car it always seems to break down when its dark and pouring rain
but i carry the basics:
-small fire extinguisher which is behind drivers seat
-quart of oil
-premix antifreeze
-flashlight
-small plastic toolbox with wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
-spare tire and jack/tire iron
-AAA card
it seems like alot of stuff, but it only takes up 1 compartment in the back of my car. (minus the spare tire etc.)
the only thing i think i should have is a cell phone, but other than that i believe this is a good list of emergency equip.

extra parts who needs em... How come no one brings fix-a-flat? saves having to change a tire and ever works great on bicycle tires. Sounds like I should keep some premix anti-freeze in the car. not a bad idea.

I will go on a limb and say you guys are a little paranoid.

I carry jumper cables, a flashlight, water and anti-freeze, and oil. Oh, and I have zip ties (those came in handy once when the muffler pratically fell off). I don't carry tools with me, because my Rex has never stranded me, and never will. Oh yeah, I have the tire stuff to, jacks and stuff.

Dude! You need this stuff!!! AND MORE.
I personally keep the entire periodic table of elements on hand. Premixes are also a must, as I never know when I might need to add more Bacardi and Mountain Dew. I keep a spool of cat5 cable and spare termintators in the truck just in case I find an ethernet jack thats too far away. And for those who love their 7's you need a german shephad in the passanger seat. Because Lord know that your stock security won't sound unless you set off concussion grenades all around your car. My dog also doubles as a tool box and car jack. Oh and beef jerky...never forget beef jerky...and a spare power windows switch!!!

Yea - I carry a full kit, but most of the time I end up helping others.

If some thug wants to rob me, he can have whatever.
If he tries to harm anyone - That's what the CWP for the PPK is for.
