electrical question...stock small 4-pin relays max capacity?
I am trying to use a stock 4 pin relay to rewire my fuel pump
the setup works, but I dont want to blow the relay consistantly.
Its a 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inch relay in a rubber sheath, Does anyone know the capacity on those and if it would last for my uses?
thanks
ben

Guessing..I'd say Between 30-40 amps..A number of the relays on the car are Pretty well the same rating..I think you are Fine with your application.

I am using one for my fuel pump rewire right now (the 4 pin headlight style stock ones), pushing 20 lbs of boost on a Supra TT pump. it'll be fine. I would trust it much more than the radioshack ones. I've blown those out before, they suck. Mazda OEM relays or Bosch relays are much better.

thats what i figured, my Ahem advance Ahem Auto one left me on the side of the road yesterday, so I opted for the one that has lasted 20 years strong.
