Angry Electrical problems still!

I am trying to install a stupid kill switch. VERY simple right? well I am sure I got the right wire, I am sure I did everything right thanks to W88n/a and when I flip the switch it kills the car, not the fuel pump. I am at wits end here, does anyone have a pic of theirs tapping what wires or something? is there another wire I could do? thanks for any help.

that's what it's supposed to do i thought.... no fuel pump = no fuel to engine = no combustion, therefor no running, unless i'm getting something wrong.

I'm assuming it's a fuel pump cutoff switch? if so, your car shouldn't run for long without fuel being pumped.

Dude, I still think you put it on the wrong black/white wire. Turn into gumby again and look at the bottom of the relay. It has 6 pins, 5 of which are used. There is a black/white that goes to the CENTER pin of the relay, and there is a black/white that goes to the corner pin, right beside the center pin. You don't want that one- check again

If you're on the right wire, then someone before you has wired some kind of electrical kill circuit into your pump power circuit- that's the only thing that makes sense...

If you have the switch connected in series with the proper wire, there is no way in hell it could affect any other circuit other than the fuel pump. Period.

Does this switch have a third wire (for lighting, or whatever) that you spliced in somewhere?

OK, I'll have to believe you, I guess, lol...

Next thing I would do is backtrack that fuel pump power wire and make sure it's still going where it's supposed to be going (15A "engine" fuse). How long have you owned the car, and to your knowledge what have you or a PO done to the wiring on the car?

It may just be one of those green gremlin dudes

I know nothing of the previous owner, I saved the car from the junk yard and have had it a year feb. I believe it is still going to the 15a fuse, it runs, it just floods like a mother. The PO was a woman, not bashing them, I just cant imagine anything being done to the car
