Electrical Problems-need help

I'm terrible at solving electrical problems, and now I have one. I just installed a "good used" engine in my '88 TII. It cranked at first, but I seem to have an extra ground somewhere or something. All I know for certain is that I can't get any electrical power when I connect the battery, and the battery sparks pretty bad (at the positive cable) whenever I attach/tighten the cable. Thanks for any help you can give.

Sounds like you have a short. The only way to find it is to trace the cable until you can visually see it.

Could be something else, but that's all I can figure with the info you gave.
