Electrical Problem 2nd Request for Help
I sent this request a few days ago and only received help for the clock problem. What I really need is for somebody to suggest where I go to correct my radio problem. Any suggestions?????????
My ‘88 RX-7 has an interesting electrical problem I hope someone might be able to help me with or at least lead me in the right direction. My after-market radio/CD player, on occasion, cycles on and off with the ignition key off. It’s not the radio because it happened with the unit I just replaced also. It doesn’t happen every time but seems to be happening more often than before. The only other electrical problem that I have is my clock doesn’t work most of the time. Some times it comes on but not often. That has been a problem for some time now, so I don’t think it’s connected with the radio problem. Does anybody have any suggestions on what the cause of the radio problem might be? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
#1 Radio is bad or improperly wired if it is coming on while the key is off.
#2 Clock/warning panel is bad and requires re-soldering or replacement (I do have rebuilt ones on my webstore).
