Thumbs up electric supercharger

ok...check this. I'm the importer and distributer of the eram electric supercharger to the middleeast and greece. I cant wait to get my hands on my "new" 89 fuel injected na rx7 and start testing. does anyone have any experience with these units though...I'm really new to rotaries. I'm reading the article on the tesla unit(not done yet) I'd love to work with frank.

all the best

Jesus flipping christ talk about the most useless replies ever. How much air are you planning to move? What sort of power requirements are there? RPM of the fans? Any more info you can share?

the eram is a production unit currently available in the US. He's importing them to greece (see his location). For his sake, I hope greece has as many suckers as the states, 'cause the eram is just another house-hold-fan-blade unit that doesn't create a noticeable increase in performance. I believe the officialnumbers are 5hp on 5.7L V8.

Yes, I'm feeling quite alright, but if someone's going to come here and post about it, I at least want them to back it up with some damn specs!

Yes, I know it's the electric supercharger, and yes I know it's about as useful as your granny trying to push you down the 1/4 mile, but I want to actually HEAR what they have to say instead of just shooting them before they speak

"Performance Guarantee" AKA: Return policy.

"After purchasing and (properly) installing the e-RAM on your engine...,"

LOL! 'properly' installing.

i think this says 'your not getting your money back no matter what' in layman's terms....

just read that! so much bs! If you where a real trooper, you would have a no questions asked guarantee.

well.....
it seems like people are bored...I.ve tested the eram...SO have coleagues around the world. remember that nothing "bolt on" actuallyu works by just bolting it on. You have to tune it. I was talking to the manufacturer and a he has actually reimbursed a guy for only makin like 3 hp on his car...But this guy refused to actgally tune it. On the 2000 integra with just an aftermarket chip and and the eram unit, it produced 25whp. thats not bad for a few hundred bucks...

i can appreciate skepticism. Thats why i havent made any remarks. I'll keep this thread posted on results. And by the way, its the daily drivers with a heavy foot that is the biggest market out there. thats most of us.

just for guys who want info...each unit alone starta at about .6 psi. When you double it, i.e use ane inline super eram setup. boost increases to 1.7-1.8 psi. The fans spin at 23000 rpms. power needed is about as uch as a stereo. I's just curious if anyhone had tinkered with it.

23,000 rpm? That's one hell of a rotational speed! What's the CFM rating?

The www.electric super charger.com unit acually looks like it might work alittle. At the very least it will overcome the restriction in the intake manifold. this would make more power. if it does any more than that5 I would be surprized.
The units on the above mentioned page are not the ones you see on ebay. the ones on ebay are fans to clear boat hulls of gas fumes and run around $33 for a 140 cfm fan. the fans rxcyprus7 is talking about have a cfm rating of 650, and they work just like a real supercharger with the exception of the electric motor.
I want to know if any of the people flaming have accually tried this. Has any one on this forum tried this model?

i think a unit needs to be sent out for review. Yes, i think you would be crazy to slap down $300 with out knowing 1st hand that it works.

$300 seems so steep for somthing so simple.

theres plenty of good fabers on this board that could make the same thing.

Maybe if you connect about 6 or 8 of them in line and run them off a secondary battery (wired like a starter)??

Quick Reply: electric supercharger
