Does the egt come with a sensor? where would the sensor be located, in the exhaust by the o2 sensor?
Boy, I'm still up at this hour working on the car.

Your buying a new EGT gauge? If yes, then yes...

It should be as close to the exhaust ports as possible.

Do you have a downpipe on your car? I think the RB DP comes with a spot for the EGT sensor, but you may need an adapter. CNYRX7tech has an Autometer (I think) EGT on his TII with a full 3" RB system, and he had to do some work to get the sensor to fit.

i just drilled a hole in the pipe and mig welded a nut on the pipe and screwed the egt probe in,,no sweat.

That works too. I think the RB opening is a little far from the end of the pipe, anyway.

6 inches from the ports is good, for FINE tuning, but the temp probe won' last very long at all... once you are tuned finely, you can move it to about 12-16 inches from the ports to increase life.
