Angry egi open circuit relay clicking

my egi open circuit relay is clicking like crazy from when i start the car, to when i shut it off. It just started a few days ago but it keeps getting worse. today on my way home from work, it wouldnt let me go past 20 mph, it's randomly shutting off the fuel system, if I push in the clutch and let it fall down to idle, it goes like its just going to stall out, but it never does. It just kicks up all of a sudden and acts like nothing was wrong.

I have changed the relay. I did accidently short the power wire on the alternator to a bent up *** engine lift eye the other day, but the problem didnt show up until the next day (I just replaced the main fuse and it drove fine)

searching owns (Sorry in my pissed-off-car-no-work rage I didn't search closely) , but this title makes more sense. one of the wires in my air mass meter plug had vibrated/moved it's way back off the pin and was barely making contact. I pushed that back in and the cars it's usual self again, no more clicking relay and no loss of power. Hailers is the man.
