egi comp fuse blowing because of walbro??

ok guys ive had this probelm for near a month now..wen i run my car hard...it will just blow that fuse. if i let it cvool down it will start ..but if i drive the car..stop it then try to crank it it blows the fuse. i changed coils, swapped ecus..changed the fuel pump resistor relay and the main relay and it still seemed to be doing this. i juss swapped the walbro out because my mechanic said that the heat my have some effect on the walbro. and now it seems to be ok. has anyone experienced this? i really want that walbro in there but if the walbros cant take california heat then i dont kno wat to do. please let me kno. thanks

The EGI COMP fuse has nadda to do with the fuel pump. This jpg is for a turboii, but the n/t is the same when it comes to this fuse. See? It does not feed the fuel pump, fuel injectors etc. Ditch your mechanic OR, buy him a set of wiring diagrams OR tell him where to find the diagrams at http://www.iluvmyrx7.com

The EGI COMP feeds the solenoids mostly. The car will start just fine without this fuse in place. The same can be said of the BTN 60 amp fuse. Car starts just fine without it.

krazydru784....your right. I'll remove my head from my dark spot now. There. Done. My 87turboii will start with that fuse pulled but my other two cars won't. So your right. The 87turboii has had quite a bit of rewiring done due to a PO fire in the engine bay. That must be the reason for it running without the EGI COMP. I'm going to have to find out why that is. It's wrong for sure.

The 30 amp feeds the fuel pump relay/resistor, but does not directly feed the fuel pump. Its just the power for the relay. The fuel pump gets its feed whether or not the relay is working or not, either thru the resistor or the contact of the relay. And it, the pump is fed from the 15 amp ENGINE fuse in the crew compartment.

I still think it has something to do with a shorted wire at a solenoid such as the port air solenoid wiring or the split air solenoid wiring. They are close to a lot of heat being above the turbo and exaust.
Sorry about the bad answer in the earlier post.
