ECU reprogramming

Okay guys, here are the complete analog board schematics.
I probably won't be looking at them again until I'm done with the digital board so let me know if there are an problems.

Sunrotor,
these schematics have the chip connection info you were looking for.

...just thought I'd post a little update.
I'm working on the schematics for the digital board of the ecu now. This will let me know which pin on the I/O chips is what sensor/actuator, and verify the memory map.
Some other things of interest.
=====================
I. In another thread a link was posted which had high-res pictures of an older supra ECU. Some of the ICs on that board looked similar to a couple of the still unknown devices on the analog board.
If anyone could post a link to a site where someone has examined an older Supra ECU (the one in the pics is an '87 turbo ECU) I'd appreciate it.
Here's a link to the thread I'm referring to:
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=277851
here are the particular images:

II. There is the possibility that the CPU used on the RX-7 has a certain amount of internal ROM. If this is the case, it's not a 100% deal-breaker, but it will be a real bitch to work around. I'm not too worried about it yet though. The ECU code I've examined so far doesn't really seem to have enough references to unknown places in memory for this to be the case.
III. There is going to be a list of unidentified components on the digital board. I'll post this list later.
IV. There doesn't seem to be that much difference between N326, N327 and N332 ECU's. It may be possible the change a turbo ECU to an n/a ECU and the reverse by changing out some components.

I work in a R&d companie. I make many microcontroller program and I have hacked some micro controller. I thing you hare in the right track !
have thoutgh use a dissasembler for the HC11 ?? I never work with the HC11 so I have no idea what was this microcontroller. I thing this one is a esay one to use so ...

here are a couple of it
I hope this help a little bit

Some of my schematics for the digital board were recently lost in a car accident and I haven't really touched the project since.
I expect I'll get back to it again sooner of later as I want to do some performance mods over the winter.

so does any one want ecus to work on? i can get like as many i want, i just pay 2 bucks to get in the junk yard and come out with ecu's lol, thats why u pay 2bucks , cuz they want like 50 bucks for one, i was wtf? but yeah i have about 3 ecus in my garage, does any one want them to work on them or is this just another bs tread? what ever happen to that dude uhm that started the tread? i did not feel like reading all of the pages i skip like all of them, so what ever happen to the project? i send my ecu to jet all they did was just stick a sticker in there :-( im broke now :-(. ok but is any one gona do this? i wiould try but i have a damn mac :-( ok

Hello People,
I just became aware of this thread, i dont know if im being a nice guy or a dick by bringing back, but i too would be interested in a programable factory ECU, specially if the possibility would present itself of removing the favory AFM. Ive been working on a AFM remoble box for 2nd gens, but had to pause the project half way into it. Ive got the hard ware almost finished i had an electronics engineer friend of mine do it, it basically worked like a VPC but without the tuning option, the idea is to fit a 3bar GM map sensor instead of the AFM, run that signal to the box and have it turn it into the AFM voltage the ECU is expecting to see.
I also am an experienced haltech, motec, electromotive, and other systems, tuner and reseller, so if anybody needs my opinion ill be glad to help.
I tried to get into the forum but it bounced me back. Can anybody check my account? im claudiorx7.

I am interested. Dunno what happened to the original idea but has anyone ever checked out Autothority performance ?
Cant seem to get anything else on their site. Are they still in operation?

Give up
I suppose I gave up. I could finish my schematics for the ECU, and I've already dumped a couple ROMs, but the legal implications worry me. If I did it, I'd want to share it and I just don't have the resources to defend myself if Mazda sues me.
Other things are taking up my time at the moment as well.
I could provide some pointers in the right direction as far as hardware goes, but I don't think I up to doing the software at this point in time.

Superotorman, Lemme know how it works out for you. Interesting product but will it control the leading/trailing ignition timing of an RX? Might very well have the need for one eventually.
Still wish Jinxie and Loudroom had succeeded in their quest. I've always admired the David against Goliath struggle of these guys and anyone who dared to go where no one has gone before.

I wound up doing a litte more work for a project I'm doing, so here it is for anyone else to use.
If someone could find a datasheet for the Denso SE057 chip it would be much appreciated. At the moment I lack the chemicals and electron microscope necessary to depackage ICs and develop internal schematics
