Are ECU connectors available anywhere?

I have an idea for some display units that report all sorts of good stuff, and add some features like an AC cut at WOT. However, I'd prefer they be absurdly easy to install, so I was thinking of building passthrough ECU connectors with the needed connections already wired. I could also easily enough add a SAFC pigtail (if I can get my hands on a few) for those who want a easy SAFC install.

However... I need the connectors. Any idea who makes these, or where I can get my hands on some?

There's like a $100,000 minimum buy-in to get them.
Good luck.

my HKS F-Con has a short harness like that

$120 for s4 or s5
http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=747

and it hooks to ecu, and then to the ecu harness. and has about 6" of wiring in between.

youd have to just chop off the extra harness **** for the F-Con and do whatever you want.

Don't think thats very economical. But it already has connectors for both sides plus it is already wired up....

Maybe for a one off, probably too much money for a product for someone other than yourself

also you could scour junkyards and just unscrew it from the ECU (maybe smash it to bits and pry it off) and then just cut the harness end......

Yea... that's what I'm looking to do, but I'd prefer to *not* buy $120 of harness... I'd also prefer to not go clipping junkyard cables & such - someone might need those harnesses intact, and I would feel bad tearing up perfectly good harnesses & ECUs for connectors.

Na, its only about $5K min order. The problem is with propritary plugs, you have to get the approval of original manufacture that used them.

On the BMW alarm plugs I was able to get the plugs for only around $1K per order. But BMW made all kinds of stink after I sold out my first run (they were not selling that factory alarm, because my aftermarket plug allowed any alarm to be plugged into the BWM system.).

Hrm. So I should maybe contact Mazda & see if they have any spares I could snag? It's not like Mazda really is doing much supporting of the FCs these days.

Yeah I'd be surprised if any even existed...

And since Mazda didn't build the ECU in the first place
