ebay strut bar

I just got one of those 6.50 front strut bars and I doubt anyone is interested or this has been done already but it fits perfectly and it looks like some good quality. Also if it matters i have a turbo II but i have a front mount and i think it would fit even with a top mount but i will let you guys be the judge when i post some pics up.

I had to grind on the inner diameter where it mounts to the strut tops, and where it was touching the coolant cap.

when you get the strut bar in the mail, try to bend it with your arms before you put it on your car. those things are like tooth picks

seriously though, has anyone done any kind of test to find out exactly how much force is applied in the direction of one strut top to another?

I'm wondering how rigid the bar really ought to be.

Some interesting reading on strut tower bars..
http://e30m3performance.com/myths/St...bar_theory.htm
http://e30m3performance.com/myths/St...t_bar_comp.htm

Back when I first read that, I thought about the feasibility of a strut tower cable (assuming I could get a light yet low-stretch cable..) Would be interesting to do some blind testing with it, an ebay bar, and a tri-point bar on an autocross or road course.
