Ebay Engines reliable? should i trust i receive a good 13bt?

ive been thinking about buying an engine from a Ebay Store PrecisionTuning im wondering if anyone has bought an 13bt from that site what do recommend to buy? or find a shop that sells the jspecs? im kinda convinced to buy $1300 w shipping with tranny versus 1500 w out tranny for the shops let me know what you guys think, which is better, and also precision tuning ships them from canada should i trust the canadians ? lol or take my chances here. im in the LA area

sounds like a jspec, stay away, far away....

spend a little more and buy a rebuilt from a reputable source.

a rebuilt engine runs about $1800 on average.

ok then, a little insight.

jspec engines sit on average 10 years or more, unused. it is a roll of the dice on whether you will get a good one or a bad one. i have seen more than a few people who have bought them and driven them for years with no problems and others who have driven them a few days and they dropped dead. they make for good cores but generally we do not recommend them due to the gamble aspect of it.

for a little more a rebuilt engine will last on average 60,000-100,000+ miles without an issue.

this is just my feeling on the matter though.
