Replaced the drivers quarter panel!? That is scary! Who the hell's brave enough to try that on a unibody!? I much rather my GXL that i know hasn't been touched

Yeah, WITH the right equipment. Even then it's not an easy project. That's a hell of a lot of work for a 'minor smooch', makes you wonder what else was affected.

it doesn't sound like a HUGE deal.. maybe it just got messed up beyond repair with some deeeeep scratches or the metal got punctured or something. I dunno..

It would take a lot to NEED to replace teh 1/4 pannel. You can push out dents/deformaties with hydraulic pumps from the inside quite a bit. I did that on my car. Then you Bondo to finish it off perfect.
Too bad that car is on the opposite side of the contry for me. That's not a bad price for that at all!

I wouldnt buy it. Anyone notice the hood and fender dont look like they are lined up correctly? (the front passenger side pic ) Or does it just have the hod popped?

I agree with MasonX. It sounds like it was really simple and cheap job which would definitely not be the quarter panel. I think he's trying to say the front fender, not the quarter panel. A lot of everyday Joe's and Jane's don't know what they're talking about.
Also I doubt that the motor is ported if he bought it from a dealership.
