Since I guess that was hard to see where I was going with that let me explain a little better.
Looking for the best E- fan for the FC that has its on shroud so I don't poke thing thru my radiator.

Looking for the best e-fan I can get that allows me to mount without going thru the radiator.

i will keep mine with a stock fan, if you are driving your car more than once a week i wouldn't run an e-fan but that is just my preference unless you find a bulletproof setup, which i haven't seen one yet... on a rotary even one moderate overheat can blow your coolant seals, not worth the extra 2% HP gain to me.

It all sound good, but without the shroud on my GSL-SE the fan clutch and a 160 thermostat keeps the car at 1/4 on the temp quage.
Adding an e-fan did not make the temp go up nor has it failed.
As for my 91 TII I want to get rid of all the wasted room the shroud takes up.
A second gen looks so nice without that big plastic shroud.
as for the best.... I am sure there has to be an e-fan that will out perform the stock setup

Thanks for the picture. That e-fan looks good and looks like it has its own shroud.
Do you remember how it mounted and or the brand name?
Thanks

Here are pics of my escort e-fan, blows tons of air even on the low setting plus it's shrouded.
In the second pic you can see how I mounted it, kinda. I used the stock mounting points on the radiator with ones on the shroud and just cut a piece of aluminum and drilled holes. Was very simple.

Thanks for the awesome pictures. Very clean and neat engine compartment.
If you had the factory battery box and cover it would look awesome under your hood.
BTW- passenger side shock tower, you have an old hose bracket screw laying in there.

Yah that's cuz my car is currently down while I replace the heater core, that was for the rubber heater hose going into the hardline
Dirt? WHERE!? Haha, I have not once cleaned my engine bay by hand or steam cleaning, even when I took my engine out for a rebuild. Don't have an underbelly pan either. And I daily drive my rx7 to and from college every day Maybe it looks clean cuz of everything I've removed, I dunno. One of these days I'm really going to make it look clean, but it's good enough for now. Coming soon FD UIM and TB with s5 TII LIM

We have experimented with tons of E-fans and NONE of them work as good as the stock setup. None.
I have a FD engine in my FC and this neccesitated me using an E-fan. I tried 3 different ones before I found one that came sort of close to the cooling of the stock FC fan.
Its sold by Summit Racing and its called the "Be Cool" dual 11" electric fan. It draws a LOT of amperage though which could be used to help the fuel pump along. I used big single fans and they did not work very good.
I also saw that Pettit used the Same Be Cool fan in his 3 Rotor conversions in FD's so I cannot be too far off here.
I bought a 400/500 RWHP RX-7 and it had a little 12" Fiero fan in it. Once I took the fan out and put the stocker back in engine temps dropped considerably. I mean it was reading a tad below 1/2 way with the E-fan and down near the C with the stocker.
Swapping out the stocker, especially on a Turbo FC is a big waste of time and money. Its more important that it runs cool rather than looks cool.

oh crap, not a be-cool setup.... i used a be-cool thermo switch on my truck which failed and overheated the **** out of my engine, luckily it is a cast iron block and cast iron heads so it withstood the 290* temp it rose to, it is also the reason i tend not to trust e-fans for daily drivers...
the only reason anyone should use an electric fan would be to add the horsepower but the gains are so minimal i try to stay away from it unless you have serious mods.

Summit Part # BCI-75007. I have a generic Summit $80 fan in the car now and I am not happy w/ it. I think this one will do the job. I measured my radiator and it will fit perfectly. It will get the whole radiater into the cooling game at low speeds. i.e. Autocrosses / Traffic where I have been havine some issues.
Pic of the fan in my FC:
Here is the flapper thing that opens when you get up to speed to let air over entire radiator. When you slow or stop it closes and forces air to be pulled by fans.

Yeah I thought my fans work good too until I take it to an autocross. Even with this dual 11" fan me temps still get warm and I dont like it.
Nothing beats the stock setup. Period.

my single s-blade 16 inch keeps it cool all the time, no matter how hard i drive.
on a side note, there is a major misconception about shrouding:
it is NOT a good idea to shroud the whole radiator for a small fan, unless it is a very deep shroud like the stocker. those flush shrouds are a terrible idea. they block air from flowing through the rad when driving, when the fan isnt doing anything anyway. if you have a fan that fits correctly, a full rad shroud is not really necessary. this is the first time i have seen one with the flaps like the one above, but it looks like a good idea to me.
it is also important to realize that under most driving circumstances, it doesnt matter a bit how big a fan you have. at speeds over 25 MPH, there is much more air flowing through the rad than any fan is going to pull. people having cooling problems while driving need a better radiator and water pump, not a fan.
