that's wheel HP lol... unless he pulled the engine and measured it when I was in the bathroom, and all those runs were for show?

it says FLYWHEEL because it's a dynapack. Otherwise, with my full exhaust, intake, etc, I was 7HP LESS than stock on 5psi... and I find that pretty hard to believe lol, considering that it pulled pretty damn hard for 5psi.

the turbine is TOTALLY bone stock.
jacobcartmill, the power was falling off so badly because BOOST was falling off so badly! it's going to make less power and less torque with 1/3 less boost, is it not?

I think the MBC that I'm using is causing the remainder of the boost falloff problems, I'm going to try a different type (ball/spring) tomorrow and see if that changes anything (the kind I'm using now is just a "screw" type.. it just bleeds air at a set rate.

I was bored and matted it in 2nd and held my foot on the brake and held it at ~6800RPM... boost dropped to 8PSI as I got up there but after 1-2 seconds holding it ther it climbed back to 9.5PSI where it should be....

"rigging" the WG rod certainly helped a LOT, powerwise and boost wise. in 5th gear I get ~11PSI of boost by 3000RPM, if I gun it from like 50mph (2000rpm). Before it would only be at 3-4PSI at this point.
I can only imagine that it must've been not able to shut fully ever.

I'm going to be welding a turn buckle onto my wastegate actuator arm so I can turn up and down the boost with that sucker. Even after I drilled a hole I still wasn't reaching the 17psi I would like to with the bnr stage III so with me doing this I should be able to hit 17 easily. That was exactly what was happening to your turbo, the wastegate was opening way to early because of the stock spring that sucks *****. I don't know why people say hybrid turbo suck. When my engine was healthy I took my friend for a drive in it with a hybrid turbo and he said it was so fast it made him feel sick to his stomach

yeah
hmm
maybe I should just put a non-sucky WG spring in there? like, a 10PSI one? or see if I can make a spare DSM one work, think their spring is set at 9PSI stock but I'd have to check, just in case it isn't.

I agree with him because I made this exact horsepower with the stock turbo at 9 psi.

I had TERRIBLE boost drop-off after installing my TO4B hybrid. With my MBC FULLY tightened, the max boost I could achieve was 11psi and it would fall off to around 6-7psi by redline.

I installed a Greddy Profec-B EBC and my problem was pretty much alleviated. I can boost to whatever the heck I want, and the boost drops off to around 10psi by redline with max boost set at 13psi.

Get an EBC and see what happens.

You guys are only partly right, lol. I believe it's a combo of the unclipped turbine and the wastegate opening prematurely. (This is especially common with a MBC, since the damn stock wastegate barely keeps itself closed as is, leaking boost into the gate isn't going to help the situation much).
