Dyno Results: '87 NA-Auto
Yep, dyno'd the car yesterday. Did calculations before hand, and determined that 20% drivetrain loss, a bone stock car, new should have done about 108HP to the wheels. So, I figured if I could hit 100 that would be great. But, I fell a little short as expected:
93.7HP at 6200RPM
Details:
2 pulls in 2nd gear, 93.7HP both times, one more in 3rd gear, 93.2 HP, its consistent![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
FYI this is at 5,280Ft. in Denver Colorado. The SAE Correction factor was 1.22 This means the car is actually, truly putting about: 76.3HP to the ground up here. All Dyno Jet dyno's have a correct factor applied (unless you have a perfect 60 degree day, at sea level, with the proper barometer) so the #'s can be compare accurately.
'87 NA-Auto
140,000 Miles
E-Fan
Open KN Cone
Non-functioning 5th and 6th ports
Non-functioning ACV
New fluid/filters, plugs/wires
Home Ported exhaust manifold (took off about 1/4-1/2" all the way around)
Stock Pre-CATS, CAT, and Exhaust (yes, its all 16 years old)
So then, my TQ #'s are off, because the guy grabbed the wrong plug wire, so my RPM Scale is half what it should be. I've attached a view of the HP/MPH from WinPep dyno run view program
I will try to get my actuall Dyno sheet up in the next few days. We also checked A/F but because my ACV is not working, it was all over the chart, and didn't produce any useable data.
I plan on re-dyno'ing after I do the Dynomax Exhaust (and get my ACV and 5/6th ports working) then again, after adding the RB header, and pre-silencer. So we can see what gains they all give.

Gotta give you props for trying to work with a Auto 2nd gen!
Man, stock exhaust. You really should drop that thing out of there. At least get a Bonez system. I wonder what it would of been with your 5/6 ports working.
That Air/fuel read from the dyno won't be accurate unless you put it in the place of your stock o2 sensor.

I believe they are stuck shut. They are in the closed position at least. The acutators don't function at all. I've got new gaskets coming for them, so I'm hoping that will fix it.
As for the stock exhaust, etc. Yea, its getting replaced as soon as I can. I wanted to Dyno before hand to see wha tI was starting with.
As for working on the N/A Auto, I bought the car for $750, its going to be my daily while I Work on my GTP.

The Grand Prix Dyno List
Another Dyno Run
Video of my car Dyno'ing
Those were done when the car was running a 14.5-14.6 up here at Altitude.
I later ran a 14.3 in hotter weather after a few changes. I never re-dyno'd, it should have been in the 265-270 Range.
It will get one again when my current projects are complete.
