i bought some interior dye from walmart awhile back and did the floor mats in my old 87 sport.. it seemed to work good unless you got water or alchohal on it within the first 2 or 3 months, then it would rub off.. im sure there are better dyes though. i think it would look pretty cool, especially if you dye'd the inner part of the seat a slightly different color. id like to see how it turns out.

when the die rubbed off did it simply come off or stain other things?

example: Die rubs off the seat and onto my shirt?

I would not dye a seat. Dyes rub off with wear over time.
