Duralast Brake pads - It's a trap, get an axe!
#27
you guys bought **** cheap pads. I bought the albany brand pads from autozone and I never had an issue. with dust or stopping power. the other "performance" brake pad will give you more dust and noise so why bother? just buy a nice set of pads and your ok. you dont need hawk pads unless you are going to be heavy on the brakes...and if you are you should also have rotors to go with those hawks.

I am going to just wear these duralast pads out, which seems to be happening quickly, and replace them with some nice street pads.
The duralast pads are straight cut. Is there any benefit to tapering the leading and trailing edge of the pad material like the material is on the Hawk pads?

Duralast Standards have worked for me in the past. Granted i don't do very much spirited driving anymore where braking is a more important factor to have. Only thing that bugs me is the gawd awful brake dust accumulation on wheels. But it stops me just fine with driving economically. But Hawk Pads by far are my fav pads to use when the 7 needs some life in its driving.
