dropped something in upper injector hole

Hello, when I took out my upper injectors to change them out, there was something white and hard in the right one. I tried to get it out as carefully as I could, but it just broke the little tin filter (or what ever it is made out of) and it fell in. Is there anything I can do to get that out of there? I tried to look in with my flashlight but coudlnt see it. Any ideas? Is it going to be fine just leaving it there?

That would must likely be the air bleed socket thingy, forgot what it's called. It's best if you could get it out, but it's just made out of a composite like material. do what you can to get it out just to be safe though

pull the manifolds and hope that it didnt fall in the motor...

if its the metal thing i think your talking about then you realllly dont wanna start the motor with that in the housing.

just hope it didnt fall in the intake ports and into the motor.

it didnt fall into the intake it just fell into the lower injector hole. Where does that go? as far as I Can tell it goes right into the middle of the engine.

OK you keep saying upper then lower then 1" apart?
As far as I can tell you are talking about the primary injectors on top of the block the hole in there is tiny (leading into the engine) you can use chewing gum and a small bolt. just make sure the chewing gum is not so sticky that it gets stuck in the injector hole (chew at least 5 minutes)

This advice is only for the primary injectors the ones that are 1" apart under the short fuel rail. And this only applies to small loose parts.

I think it to late for that.....he broke it all ready.
if it was still in the injector hole that would work, but it is now in the engine.

Have you seen the size of the hole for the fuel to come out of on the primaries? it is no bigger than the tip of a pen the air bleeds will not break into pieces that small.

Please note that he has changed where the piece broke to the PRIMARIES not the secondaries if it broke in the secondaries it would be in the engine.

ok, yes sorry, its in the hole of the primaries. How do I get it out? (its not in the little metal fuel filter that was rusted and broke out when I put the screw driver in there.) So do I need to worry about it or ? How do I get it out?

Is this an NA or Turbo?
Because the turbo primaries are in the engine the secondaries are in the manifold.

Right?

now I don't know what the "little metal fuel filer" your talking about or why you would put a screw driver in it??

Diffuser?

Look buddy (original poster).....if you have some pictures of what's up - that would help rather then have a bunch of guys speculate for another 8 pages about what you did or didn't stick your screw driver in.

woot got it out w/ the hoover :0) It wasnt where it fell in though, it was in the lower manifold holes.. (or maybe Im just retarded, but it sucked up the fuel filter (looks like a strainer in a sink) and the little white like .. ceramic chip or something. *Shrug* anyways woot there is a chance this engine MIGHT start after I get it all in there AGAIN.

I will never buy a rotary EVERY again, as soon as I get this new engine in here im going to sell it. Sorry guys, I think rotary = great weekend fun car, but NO way can it be used as a daily if your heavy on gas / clutch / tires. :0) I am very hard on each of those.

Yeup, the most fun EVER! Paying 3000 GETTING LIED 2 about amost everything about the car ( he got the part right that it is an rx7 and has a 5 speed) , driving it for a week, adding water here and there. On the free way on an on ramp I floor it and shift fast to get up to speed, the tranny shifts into second and 3rd gear ((syncros go out)) at the same time, locking the rear wheels, causing me to do my first 50+ mph drift. (sideways, then forward then sideways, then backwards, then sideways again till I was in the middle of the highways on some grass) Take out the tranny, put in new performance stage 2 ceramic clutch, put in new tranny. Drive for a week, add water EVERY day now. Car finally gives up, get it towed 200 miles, find out I have a coolant seal leak. .... . take out engine, put in another used engine. That engine is already carbon locked, take that one out .. in the middle of putting the new 1 in .... GREAT FUN.

But that first week, where it kind of worked yeah that was fun.

all the times I got burned here and there from adding water with engine (since I only left it sitting for 2 hours and it STILL hot)) .... the 150$ I spent @ the junk yard replacing the tail lights, hatch struts, and other misc stuff... (getting stung by bees taking struts out of the junk yard 7)

GREAT GREAT fun.

And now im just going to HOPE this engine is decent enough to let me sell the nightmare car. U want it? Didnt think so.
