Well, it just started doing this. I swear my drivetrain is going to fling apart.
I am going down the highway at 60 or so. I push in the clutch and you just hear this virbration. It is very loud. I am guessing/hoping driveshaft ujoints.

James,
I sent you a PM, you can get a new pair of U-joints through me for $50 shipped, much cheaper if your driveshaft is in good shape.
Simply beat the old ones out (w/o damaging the yokes) and then install new ones w/ circlips and grease certs.

Well, here is an update.
I got the car on four jackstands and got it off the ground. I then got under the car and had somebody roll the drivewheel back and foward just enough to see if there was play in the drive train. It was in 4th gear for this.
As the wheel rolled back and forward there was no play in the halfshaft, diff, or driveshaft. Just this clunking noise coming from the extension housing. Not sure how much play or noise is normal but it seemed odd.
Tomorrow I am going to undo the driveshaft at the diff. and see how much play the ujoints are. Also see if they are frozen.
What do they feel like when they are shot.
I have a bad feeling some bearing has gone south in the tranny.

The U-joint will either feel VERY stiff when trying to move it or else, like mine were, they will be completely frozen and only move in one direction but not the other.
Good luck
